"On Dalby mountain the old Manx people used to put their ears to the earth at ‘Sheean ny Feaynid’ (the Sounds of Infinity), to hear sounds which were like murmurs. They thought these sounds came from beings in space; for in their belief all space is filled with invisible beings." William Cashen, 1912
In a small village on an island, the veil between the two worlds is beginning to thin. A young girl is haunted by a strange otherworldly sound that is coming from a mountain. After she encounters a tricksy spirit that possesses a hand-puppet, she is taken on a dreamlike journey to find out the source of the mysterious sounds.

Sounds of Infinity is a fairy tale-like short film. Taking place on the Isle of Man, the story springs up from the rich folklore and otherworldly landscapes of the island. It’s inspired by real encounters with the Little People, and by the strange events that took place in the mid-1930’s on the Isle of Man, caused by a supposed talking spirit. The film’s theme is about finding connection – with both the internal and external worlds, and bringing them into balance.
